"Dreamers and Demons: The Three Worlds of Isaac Bashevis Singer": Karol Verson will direct a special program performed by members of the Oakton theater department. "Dreamers and Demons: The Three Worlds of Isaac Bashevis Singer" is a play by Isaiah Sheffer, host of the National Public Radio show "Selected Shorts," and a friend of Singer.

A showing of the film Yentl will be followed by a discussion led by Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation's Cantor Janice Roger. Discussion topics will include the numerous challenges Yentl faced as a young Orthodox Jewish woman who wanted to study the Torah, the effect of adding music to the film, and the struggles that Yentl might encounter today if attempting to assimilate in American culture.
