Ezra Cappell, Ph.D (Department of English, The University of Texas at El Paso) will give a lecture consisting of a short biography of Isaac Bashevis Singer and a discussion of Singer's works, his acculturation, and his literary legacy. Dr. Cappell will discuss how Singer, Hispanic immigrant writers and American-born writers compare and contrast. The film, Enemies: A Love Story, based on Singer's work, will be shown and discussed after the lecture.
